WOW what an exciting night. my mom's art class she teaches at Acadamy Prep got invited to the Lightning Game tonight. and all the Art on Ice people (including myself) got invited as well. but it wasn't just any ordinary invitation, we got to use Brad Richards' and Vinny Lecavalier's PRIVATE SUITES!!!! They were so cool. you walk in, and there is a buffet of food waiting for you and leather chairs and HD tv's all over the place. I was in the Brad Richards suite called "Richys Rascals", which is his foundation charity thing for children with cancer and other terminally ill diseases. I mean, if you have the money to donate thousands for a good cause, why not? Pretty cool. anyways, the suites were amazing. and oh yeah, there was a game too. Not only did it go into overtime, it ended in a SHOOTOUT (what they use in hockey when overtime ends in a tie)...AND! Brad Richards got a goal in the shootout, which was very cool.
Oh, did I mention I got to meet Vinny Lecavalier and Brad Richards after the game? =) I got a picture of each signed, as well as my jersey signed by both and a puck by Brad Richards. very cool. I took many many many pictures, so here you all go!

Erika and I went to the Florida State Fair on Sunday and it was amazing. Oh! And keep a look out for my complete caterpillar-to-butterfly-series, but in the meantime another one finally hatched, and I got some killer pictures, those are after the fair ones.

It has been exactly 1 year since I (and Erika!) have eaten fast food. By fast food we mean McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, Taco Bell, Checkers, Arbys, or Sonic. I feel so much healthier by just not doing that, haha. We might celebrate by eating at McDonalds or something, then not do it again for another year. hahaha. go us!

Today was so much fun, and so relaxing. It was great to see Erika and just hang out all day, without worrying about anything. I had such a stressful week, so this was just amazing to goof off all day and fall asleep at like 4:00. I love you.

They say it takes 5 minutes and you've got yourself a tasty noodely meal from dried powdery noodle mix, but in reality it takes 4-6 minutes to heat up, then you have to stir it, and let it SIT for two minutes. Am I doing the math wrong? Let it stand for two minutes! But I'm hungry NOW!
Just wanted to get that concern out there to you people.
Betty Crocker, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Alright, back to my statistics homework.

Homecoming last weekend was fantastic.
and this weekend, well. I had an amazing weekend. The drive home on friday sucked, but it was worth it because I got home, and soon after Erika and I went to Biff Burger! I might post pictures later if I feel like it. Then Saturday was the Lightning's first home game, and the Arts Center has a contract with them kind of like the one with the Rays, and we get paid to go to every home game and interact with kids and make little pennants and lightning bolt necklaces. So it's pretty cool, considering it's $50 a game! Anyways, kind of sucks that they lost, but I did get to bring Erika to her first hockey game =)
We have tickets for next Saturday's game against the Thrashers, and I'm excited. I have to commit to like 10-15 games, which is good money for not very much work, considering not many children come to weeknight games. But it's great exposure for the Arts Center which is really cool. Maybe we'll get the Bucs games next year.
Anyways, today was a lot of fun. Tennis in the morning with Erika, Gordon, and Caitlein (who showed up late because she obviously doesn't care about tennis). That was a lot of fun, even though I suck now. Then Gordon and Caitlein and I went to Smoothie King, and I brought one back for Erika who had to dive into homework-land and not come. Theeen I went over to her house, and we went to the barn to take care of the horses (she does all the work, I just drag along pretty much). I have fun, even moreso now that my allergies to whatever was in there seemed to have disappeared. Then we went back to her house and watched some of the football games and one of the best episodes of The Office, and had dinner.
And here I am again, back in Tampa. -sigh- I miss everyone.
But this week might be different in one way. One amazing, wonderful way. I can't wait.
